Senior Project Manager

Location: San Diego, CA

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our San Diego, CA office!

 Lead and develop technical sales & design approaches during the project pursuit, award and through the preconstruction schematic design phase.


  1. Develop engineering concept for ACCO’s project pursuits including collaborating with end users, owners, clients a, d internal project group and engineering personnel.
  2. Manage project personnel activities to ensure design project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  3. Develop and manage the schematic design with the engineering department who will complete the design through the construction document phase.
  4. Manage and provide input to the engineering department for assurance final construction documents comply with the original design intent.
  5. Create conceptual designs certified to LEED standards.
  6. Design and manage to ACCO standard requirements for Project Management to ensure ACCO’s documents comply with ACCO standards and support the overall construction schedule.
  7. Provide design calculations, lead design and meetings, provide value engineering concepts with detailed analysis, alternate solutions, pricing of alternates, diagrams, code review for the sales, engineering and construction efforts. Utilizes ACCO standard Engineering technologies at all times.
  8. Establish and lead associated engineering procedures and other work control documentation.
  9. Conduct economic and energy analyses.
  10. Conduct CFD modeling of HVAC systems utilizing the latest modeling software.
  11. Prepare special reports, studies, and analyses as needed.
  12. Compose and/or edit letters, memos, e-mail correspondence, reports, and procedures as required.
  13. Other duties as directed by leadership.


  1. BS in Engineering; Mechanical concentration strongly preferred
  2. 15 years of minimum experience 
  3. Proficiency and proven success in interpersonal communication skills and customer service interactions.
  4. Proficiency and demonstrated organizational and time management abilities.
  5. Existing relationships in the marketplace with a client base of local San Diego customers.
  6. Excellent oral and written business communication skills, including the ability to listen and follow directions.
  7. Ability to commit to regular, on-time attendance both in the designated office location and/or at an assigned project job site. 
  8. Professional Engineering license not required, but preferred

  4. The employee is regularly required to walk and sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (for purposes of assisting with project job walks and site inspections).
  5. The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and shelves.
